The town of Corby is located in the county of Northamptonshire in the East Midlands of England. The town is around 23 miles North East of the county town Northampton. Corby town has an approximate population of 61,000 residents as of 2011 and is the fastest growing town in Northamptonshire and the entire of England. The unemployment rate for Corby currently stands at just under 3%. This is dramatically lower in comparison to the national average unemployment rate which currently stands at 7.6%. Corby is home to the Tresham Institute of Further and Higher Education which provides students aged 16 and above with a wide variety of vocational courses. The institute has up to 16,000 students enrolled both full-time and part-time. Corby has two Church of England schools within the 17 primary schools in the town, as well as three Roman Catholic schools and a school for children with severe behavioural and emotional difficulties.
