Wrexham is a town based in the north of Wales. It is located in Wrexham County Borough and has a population of around 60,000 people. There are a large number of schools in Wrexham including one Welsh speaking school Ysgol Morgan Llwyd. St Joseph’s was the first shared-faith school in Wales and the schools St David's School, Ysgol Bryn Offa and The Groves High School were combined to form two larger "super schools", Rhosnesni High School, and Ysgol Clywedog. Yale College is the largest college in Wales and provides a wide range of adult education. It has many sites across the area. Glyndŵr University was granted university status in 2008 after being established originally as the Wrexham School of Science and Art. It offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees to around 8000 students. The rate of unemployment in Wrexham is at around 3.6%. This is lower than the national average of Britain which is 7.6%.
