Coventry is a city located in the centre of England in the county of Warwickshire and is considered the tenth biggest city in England. Its population is around 335,000 people. Coventry is a great contributor to the British motor history, being the home of several motor companies. Coventry is one of the only universities which runs a degree course in the field of automotive design and is located right in the heart of the city centre. The University of Warwick also lies mostly within Coventry but on the border with Warwickshire as well. Coventry University is divided into three faculties and one school which are then divided into different departments. The departments cover a number of different subjects such as engineering, visual arts and law. The vast majority of the secondary schools and colleges in Coventry are specialist schools, such as Finham Park school which specialises in training teachers and the Coventry Blue Coat Church of England School which is one of the rarer schools; specialising in music. There are also independent and private schools, as well as an educational special needs school; Sherbourne Field School.
