The city of Wakefield is located in county of West Yorkshire in the north of England. Wakefield city has an approximate population of 77,000 residents. The city is around 9 miles southeast of Leeds and around 28 miles southwest of York. The unemployment rate for Wakefield currently stands at just over 6%.
