Sheffield is a city based in South Yorkshire, England. Its name originates from the River Sheaf which runs through the heart of the city. Sheffield is home to around 560,000 people and is the eighth largest city in England. Sheffield is famous for its steel production and is known around the world for its innovation in the field including crucible and stainless steel. There are a grand total of 137 primary schools in Sheffield and 26 secondary schools. The University of Sheffield is a research-centric university, originally established in 1905.
