ChatGPT brought a major revolution when it was made public back in November 2022. It was the most impressive AI tool for general consumers, so it garnered much attention. In the last year, OpenAI's ChatGpt has evolved. Its latest version is the Chat GPT 4 Playground which allows the users to interact with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool using natural language.
ChatGPT is an AI chatbot trained with GPT, a large language model. The public release of ChatGPT was based on GPT-3.5, but the latest version is GPT-4. ChatGPT has several products under it; DALL-E, Playground and the AI chatbot with which most are familiar.
ChatGPT Playground is more powerful, can produce more words, and can take in complex inputs. The new OpenAI model in Chat GPT 4 Playground can now process words, photos, and other data that GPT 3 could not handle. The GPT 4 has a longer memory now. Read this blog to know how you can access the Playground.

What is ChatGPT 4 Playground?
The Chat GPT Playground extends the functionality of the ChatGPT chatbot but offers many more functions and control over the output generated. It is capable of writing anything and responding to whatever you input. You can use it to summarise a large text, write a complete blog, translate the text, or even write your own books.
GPT4 Playground is now available, but access is limited; however, the older Playground based on GPT 3.5 is free.

GPT3.5 vs GPT4: What’s improved in ChatGPT 4 Playground?
ChatGPT 4 Playground is now capable of taking images as inputs and can classify the images, generate captions or analyse the image to produce a response to your prompts. The chatbot is also capable of handling large text of over 25,000 words. The general version of ChatGPT 3.5 only allows up to 3000 words, after which the conversation will end.
OpenAI claims that GPT4 chatbot will be more creative with advanced reasoning capabilities, allowing you to make more complex prompts and receive a satisfactory response. OpenAI also claims that the factual accuracy of the answers has increased by 40% compared to GPT3.5.
How to use ChatGPT 4 Playground?
You can access the Chat GPT 4 Playground only if you have a ChatGPT Plus subscription, which costs $20 monthly. You can access the full functions of the Chat GPT 4 Playground after subscribing.
If you already have a subscription to ChatGPT Plus, you will get direct access to the Chat Gpt Playground. If not subscribed, you can subscribe by following these steps:
b) Click on "Upgrade to Plus" from the menu on the left side.
c) A popup will open, showing the Plus subscription's benefits. Click on the "Upgrade plan".
d) It will take you to the payment page, where you can pay and subscribe to the plan.
ChatGPT 4 Playground will have the same functions as the free GPT-3.5 Playground, but you will have access to the new model "gpt-4" under the Model dropdown.
If you need to use or access the APIs in Playground, you must join the waitlist, which will be available only to a few users. OpenAI’s chatbot is working towards making GPT-4 available to the public, but it will take some time. Currently, you can only use limited modes in Playground without API access.
Even though you have a Plus subscription, you cannot use APIs on the GPT4 Playground without API access.

Limitations of ChatGPT 4 Playground
Even with substantial improvement over GPT-3.5, there are limitations of GPT-4. The chatbot can still make errors in factual responses and reasoning. These errors are called "hallucinations". Sometimes, the response can be nonsensical or out of context. This issue is still present, although the error rate has decreased.
There are complaints from various groups about social bias creeping into the AI’s chatbot responses. OpenAI has accepted this flaw and is working on mitigating this drawback. Chat GPT4 Playground is still not available to public with full capabilities because of limited access and waitlist for integrating APIs.
Potential use cases of ChatGPT4 Playground
The best improvement in the Chat GPT Playground comes from an increase in word count, improvement in logical reasoning and visual input. You can use Playground effectively in the following use cases:
a) Creating long-form content like blogs and article outline
b) Finding ideas for social media posts
c) Learning specific topics which might be challenging to learn from conventional methods
d) Creating descriptions and captions for images
GPT-4 is being used in applications like Duolingo, Bing Chat, Stripe and Khan Academy. If you can access the ChatGPT Plus subscription, you can use the general ChatGPT with GPT-4.
Conclusion
ChatGPT will go down in history as one of the most revolutionary technologies. The potential of AI is limitless, and OpenAI is at the forefront of it. The ChatGPT-4 Playground is a potent testbed for developers and AI enthusiasts to see what AI can do and how it can transform specific applications.
