The unemployment rate is 8.7%.  Dogana has an elementary school, the Scuola Elementare Dogana di San Marino, and is a mere twenty minute drive away from San Marino’s university, the University of the Republic of San Marino.  Created in 1985, the University is organised into three departments, the Depaartment of Economics, Sciences and Law, the Department of Human Sciences, and the Department of History and of Sanmarinese Culture and History.
