Indianapolis is the capital and largest city in the state of Indian. With a population of over 855,000 residents it is the 14th largest city in the United States. The city is the hub of manufacturing and transportation following the completion of the National Road and the Railroad. Indianapolis is also the hub of many demanding services such as; financial services, business, logistics, distribution services, education and hospitality and tourism.
The city is best-known for holding the largest international single-day sporting event, the Indianapolis 500. Some of the top places to visit in Indianapolis include Victory Field, the Motor Speedway Museum, the Central Canal and Monument Circle.
Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) has an enrollment of approximately 30,000 students which is the third largest in the state. Other universities in Indianapolis include the Butler University, Marian University, Indiana University School of Medicine, Dentistry, Informatics, Nursing, Liberal Arts and Law and Martin University.
